U.S. News Ranks EKU among Top Tier of Southern Regional Universities

Eastern Kentucky University again ranks in the top tier of Regional Universities in the South in the 2013 edition of “Best Colleges,” published by U.S. News Media Group.

EKU ranks 61st among 96 universities in the top tier. This is the third consecutive year that Eastern has placed in the top tier. The 2013 edition of the Best Colleges will be on newsstands Sept. 18. For a full list of the rankings, visit www.usnews.com/colleges.

The 2013 Best Colleges package compares more than 1,400 accredited four-year schools on a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence. Among the many factors weighed in determining the rankings, the key measures of quality are: peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
