Pershing Rifles Team Excels at National Championships

Eastern Kentucky University’s Company R-1 of the National Society of Pershing Rifles won several awards at the Pershing Rifle National Competition held recently in Jacksonville, Fla., including top honors in the Dual Armed Exhibition Drill featuring Dylan Baine, of Independence, and Adam Renn, Louisville.

The EKU team placed third overall among 20 teams. Renn finished second in Individual Exhibition and Stephanie Hammons, of Corbin, was third in the Regulation Knockout category.

The group also brought back trophies in Regulation Platoon, Squad, Color Guard and Exhibition Platoon, and Squad Drill categories.
